Systematic Review Screening — Proof of Concept
Technical prototype portfolio — demonstration environment
Use the bundled synthetic PICO-style criteria set and nine invented records below to see a real PRISMA-style screening decision run — not a single taxonomy label. Do not submit personal, confidential or client-owned information. Contact Chrisian to discuss a controlled evaluation. An Exclude decision is only valid alongside one specific reason from the controlled list below — an exclude with no real, listed reason is downgraded to “maybe” rather than silently accepted. Every decision cites a real quote from the record's own text. The PRISMA flow-diagram counts are computed by directly counting the real current decisions, never asserted.
Inclusion criteria for this sample

Records to be screened (9)
App-Based Glucose Monitoring with Telehealth Coaching in Type 2 Diabetes: A 12-Week Randomized Controlled Trial. We randomized 142 adults (ages 35-68) with Type 2 diabetes to a smartphone glucose-monitoring app paired with weekly telehealth coaching calls versus usual care. The intervention group showed a significant reduction in HbA1c at 12 weeks compared to usual care.
Telehealth Diabetes Coaching in Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes: A Randomized Trial. This randomized controlled trial enrolled 88 adolescents (ages 13-17) with Type 1 diabetes to a telehealth coaching intervention versus standard clinic follow-up, measuring glycemic control over 16 weeks.
Telehealth Interventions in Diabetes Care: A Narrative Review. This narrative review summarizes the published literature on telehealth interventions for diabetes management across study designs, including observational studies, pilot programs, and randomized trials, without reporting new empirical outcome data.
Telemedicine Video Consultations versus In-Person Visits for Type 2 Diabetes Management: A Randomized Controlled Trial. Adults with Type 2 diabetes (n=210) were randomized to quarterly telemedicine video consultations or standard in-person visits over 24 weeks, with glycemic control and patient satisfaction as primary outcomes.
A Randomized Controlled Trial of a Cinnamon Extract Supplement in Adults with Type 2 Diabetes. This trial randomized 96 adults with Type 2 diabetes to a daily cinnamon extract supplement or placebo over 10 weeks, measuring changes in fasting glucose; no telehealth or remote-monitoring component was involved.
Twelve-Week App-Based Telehealth Coaching for Type 2 Diabetes: Conference Abstract of Trial NCT-20394. This conference abstract reports secondary analyses from the same 142-participant, 12-week app-based telehealth coaching trial (registry NCT-20394) for Type 2 diabetes previously reported as a full-text randomized controlled trial.
Feasibility Pilot of a Telehealth Self-Management App in Adults with Diabetes: A Randomized Trial. This pilot randomized controlled trial tested a telehealth self-management app in 40 adults with diabetes over 8 weeks; the abstract does not specify whether participants had Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.
SMS-Based Remote Monitoring and Medication Adherence Coaching for Type 2 Diabetes: A Parallel-Group Randomized Controlled Trial. Adults with Type 2 diabetes (n=175) were randomized to an SMS-based remote-monitoring and medication-adherence coaching intervention or usual care over 16 weeks, with medication adherence and HbA1c as co-primary outcomes.
